Modern Coastal Home, Private Pool & Hot-Tub

The house was organized very well and included all the amenities as indicated in the description. It was perfect for a large group and provided ample supplies in the kitchen. They even provided champagne glasses for us to do an engagement toasts. In addition, the kitchen was very easy to use and had a large refrigerator. The pool and hot tub layout was ideal which included beautiful views and pool lights that you were able to change colors. The sunset views were amazing and the beaches were in walking distance. We did a lot of family walks and was able to jog on several paths available. The place came with several extra blankets and pillows. The design is an open concept and very nice and sleek. Jakeb and Team were amazing and very responsive and made a huge difference in our stay.

Our family gathers once a year to simply spend time together. We cook, play games, have a glass of wine or two and mostly just love and laugh. Jakeb's place was simply heaven for our yearly get-together! The house is welcoming, spacious, beautiful, and private. The views of both the ocean and the bay are amazing! Sunsets are breathtaking from the third floor. Jakeb was THE-BEST-AIRBNB-HOST-EVER! He was kind, helpful, attentive, and went out of his way to ensure our time at his home enhanced our weekend in every way. We simply could not have asked for a better person to help us with the details of our trip and his personal touch definitely set this trip apart from all the previous ones. This property is perfect for large groups so if you have a family that loves to spend time together and create great memories, I could not recommend this home more! Thank you Jakeb! Absolutely beautiful place! We had an amazing time at the house for Christmas. Everything was as described and the amenities were incredible! Jakeb was incredibly accommodating and responsive. Wonderful experience all the way around. Can’t say enough about how wonderful everything was.

This home delivered above and beyond! One of the only homes with views of bay, and ocean that offers a large pool to accommodate bigger crowds! Beautifully designed with all tech offerings, Google in kitchen, sound system by pool, coffee in rooms, games for kids, and enough TOWELS for everyone! (Huge win!). Favorite amenities include the ice machine, in bar area so you never have to run to gas station, spa next to pool, pool toys already downstairs, bags for those fun nights on the patio, plenty of TVs for kids not to fight over! (Bunk rooms include new headsets for kids and private reading lights). The hosts (Jake/Janiece) we're by far the most responsive, helpful, gracious in providing the cutest welcome kit on the kitchen island, felt like a home away from home! Worth every dollar!

My family and I met at Pura Vida for a long weekend beach vacation and it was perfect. The house itself was everything we needed for my large family. We had several kids in our group and the pool and provided pools toys were perfect. It was short and easy walk to the beach and the beach chairs and umbrellas that were provided at the house were awesome to have, especially since there was a cart too! The location of the house was perfect for us, the neighborhood was peaceful and quiet considering it was a holiday weekend. Easy to get to from Houston. Will definitely look to stay here again if we are back in Galveston!

Pura Vida was a great house for our family vacation. Plenty of space and bedrooms for everyone. Jakeb is an excellent host and property manager. We were there right after Hurricane Beryl and he went out of his way to make sure the house was ready for us. We did have couple of issues while we were here. In both instances, Jakeb was very responsive and did all that he could given the situation. He did this while on a vacation his own. The pool was a high point for our family. Overall a great stay.

Family reunion for 15 of us including children. A wonderful property! Having 5 king beds and 2 sets of bunks made it very accommodating. The house itself is beautiful, clean and comfortable. Having a private pool was amazing and kids swam constantly. Would absolutely stay here again!

Fantastic getaway! My family had a wonderful time. Our host made us feel welcome and offered such great communication to make our stay perfect. From allowing an early checkin to providing wonderful surprises throughout the stay. We had the best time in the pool and grilling out. The host provided everthing we could have ever needed to make a celebratory weekend memorable. This is a beautiful home with the most comfortable beds. I rented Jakeb’s listing for my 30th birthday, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint! The home was exactly as pictured - stunning, clean, and very well designed! Jakeb was extremely responsive throughout the weekend, and he did everything to make sure my friends and I felt right at home - they even went the extra mile by having a cake waiting for me at check in! Ten out of ten experience. The home and the host were AMAZING, and I’m already thinking of coming back for a weekend getaway with my family!

I can’t recommend this place enough. Jake was such a great host, super communicative and made sure to accommodate all of my needs. The home is honestly better than described. It was such a beautiful stay, a walk away from the beach in a quiet neighborhood. Everything was fully stocked with all essentials that you’d need to have an amazing weekend. From pool supplies, beach toys, outdoor skillet, stocked kitchen, and even cocktail tools to entertain guests. We opted in to have the pool heated and it was the best decision made. I can't thank Jake enough for having us!

This house is awesome! It was perfect for our size family. Not only is it beautiful, it's comfortable too. They had every small appliance, bowl, dish glass, cup & serving piece you could imagine! Very well stocked! Even with spices and a few necessities. Plus all the baby equipment! Having a swimming pool has become a "need" for us. This one, plus the hot tub, exceeded our expectations. The walk to the beach was very doable, even with the small children. Jake was a superb host! Very friendly, helpful and informative. Thank you for helping make it a fun vacation for the whole family!

We rented Jake’s house for our annual summer trip with extended family. We had 7 adults and 8 kids and there was not only plenty of room, but everything was spacious, well decorated and clean. Jake was super responsive to my questions months and weeks leading up to the trip (as well as during the trip). We had an issue pop up with the AC and it was fixed within hours, which was a huge relief considering we had two 11 month olds with us on the trip. The kids loved the pool and all the toys that were in the garage. It’s a great house for large groups!

We had a fantastic stay at Kakeb’s home in Galveston. The pool was great and the beach was an easy walk from the house. Our host, Kakeb, reached out to us to ensure that all was in order and was very responsive to a couple of questions that we had. I would highly recommend this property and as a family, we plan to return at a future date.

I have stayed at Air BnBs in the Galveston area on multiple occasions and have never stayed in a nicer home with everything we needed (and more) or had a host as willing to accommodate every need. Upon arrival we were greeted by two bottles of wine, two boxes of chocolate and two kites (one per kid). The home was even better than the listing and every room had Samsung smart tvs which made streaming at night a breeze! The pool is great and heated up quickly. There were plenty of pool and beach toys for my kids to stay busy. I will definitely be staying again in the future!

I have stayed at several Airbnb’s and this host was by far the most accommodating, friendly, experienced host I’ve ever worked with. The property was beautiful and just as it was described on the site. I would definitely recommend this property for family or friends getting together. The check-in was easy and the host sends you links for activities and restaurants and recommendations. Just an overall outstanding stay!

This is a gorgeous property perfect for a large group. It was the most well stocked kitchen we have ever seen at a rental house. There were tons of fun touches for the kids. They even had beach chairs for use. The pool was so refreshing in the mornings and evenings. The neighborhood itself is quiet and peaceful with an easy walk to the beach and great views of sunrise and sunset. We will definitely book again. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Jakeb is the ultimate host! From the first communication to check out he was responsive and helpful, going above and beyond to make our stay delightful & personal. House is better than pictured - it's stunning! Jakeb’s special margarita recipe with all the makings awaited us on the counter, with a sweet birthday note welcoming us. The views and the pool area were a highlight. The kitchen was perfect for our meal-loving family with multiple chefs. We frequently had 4-5 people comfortably working in and around the kitchen island during meal preps and the appliances are top notch. We were 9 adults 4 kids and had so much space to spread out in (Note that the bunk rooms do not have doors and you must walk through them to get to the 2nd floor King bedrooms.) We love Pointe West for being a beautiful neighborhood with private beach access. This was by far the nicest and best cared for home we’ve stayed in on our many trips and we can't wait to return!

Great house, enjoyed our stay!

I spent my 41st Birthday here and Jakeb was absolutely the best host ever. He even set up a great welcoming birthday gift for myself and other to enjoy! Everyone in my group couldn't believe the awesomeness of the house and the cleanliness of it. Plenty of bathrooms for all guests and everyone was happy. Everything worked just as it should and couldn't be more satisfied with everything. HUGE fridge too that kept everything cold! Also he sent back my deposit back the day after we left and he was on top of things right away. I messaged him close to midnight about pool lights and he responded back promptly. A +++ THANK YOU JAKEB!!!
